I want to emphasize that you don’t need keto snacks to be successful on a keto way of eating. In fact, it’s better if you can avoid them and eat clean meals. But if you are anything like me, an occasional snack makes the way of eating more sustainable. I miss crunchy food, and yes, although raw broccoli is crunchy, it doesn’t do the trick.
If you are counting total carbs, and not net carbs, some of these snacks won’t work for you. Particularly the gummies, since they have a lot of fiber in them. I only have them occasionally, but they are definitely one of my favorite keto snacks.
Finding packaged keto foods that taste good is an expensive game of trial and error. It seems as if many of the keto items have a strange aftertaste. I’m personally sensitive to erythritol, so there are certain snacks that I can’t even swallow, even if everyone else raves about them. This list of the best tasting keto snacks is based on the foods that I have actually eaten. I have tried everything I recommend in this list. I’m sure there is a ton more out there that I haven’t tried yet.
I have tried both the dark chocolate and milk chocolate versions of Lily's Chocolate Covered Almonds. While I prefer milk chocolate, both are amazing. Just be careful, because it's easy to eat the whole bag!
I thought pork rinds were pretty icky until I tried the Southern Recipe Small Batch brand. These are delicious and give a great crunch. I like grinding up the Sea Salt and Cracked Black Pepper flavor for use in place of bread crumbs. The Korean Kimchi BBQ flavor is also tasty.
Jilz crackers are the best tasting low carb crackers that I have tried. The original flavor has 5 net carbs per serving, which is a little more than I'd like to see, but they taste great and are amazing with a slice of muenster or havarti cheese.
